Problem Note 45097: SAS® Clinical Standards Toolkit 1.3 - validate_data.sas macro can produce an error

DetailsAboutRate It

The main driver of the SAS® Clinical Standards Toolkit validation process is validate_data.sas program. If the following conditions exist an error results:

  • _cstDebug value set to 1
  • Validation process accesses the validation macro cstcheck_notincodelist.sas

This results in this error in the SAS® log:

ERROR: The catalog concatenation WORK._CSTFMTS is not defined.

This error does not cause any problems with validation checks, other than generating the error above in the SAS® log.

The work around for this issue is to reset the macro variable _cstDebug to 0 at the beginning of and before executing validate_data.sas program.
